We customize solar designs based on your needs, whether it is solar lighting, solar HVAC systems, solar hot water heating systems (see Solar Thermal), solar as a backup system to critical loads, independent systems, grid-tied systems or hybrid systems. VES is State of Florida Certified (Unlimited Electrical Contractor: EC13003828) to install solar power systems.

Photovoltaics (PV) or solar cells as they are often called are semiconductor devices that convert sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity. Groups of PV cells are electrically configured into modules and arrays, which can be used to charge batteries, operate motors, and to power any number of electrical loads. With the appropriate power conversion equipment, PV systems can produce alternating current (AC) compatible with any conventional appliances, and can operate in parallel with, and interconnected to, the utility grid.

There are three (3) system configurations:

• Independent System – Completely off the electric utility grid with battery bank:

• Grid-Tied System – Connected to the electric utility grid without batteries:

Solar Thermal Systems are used for domestic water heating, pool water heating, and pool pumps. VES can install these systems too (see Solar Thermal).
